Ekco Sales

E.B. Thompson

EBT and guests at the Dorchester

Note: It is believed that this occasion is the annual presentation dinner organised by the British Radio & Electronic Equipment Manufacturers Association (BREMA) timed to coincide with the National Radio & TV Exhibition at Olympia

Going around table anti-clockwise from far left, EBT (looking over his right shoulder, on his right, his wife 'Freda' (in cream shawl), Peter Harvey (moustache and glasses) head of research laboratories Southend, in strapless gown - wife of Peter Harvey? gentleman in glasses looking over his left shoulder, WE Thompson, on his right, his wife? Rest unknown.

Newspaper clipping from May 1962 concerning sales tour, which the EBT record of overseas trips tells us was from the 7th to the 15th May and involved visits to Belgium, Sweden, Denmark and West Germany.

Record of EBT fact-finding business trip to America and Canada in 1948 trying to promote EKCO domestic products and setting up of potential agents/distributers.

While not related to EKCO Electronics, this report nevertheless provides a valuable insight into the work being done by EBT bearing in mind the target set for him in the letter from Eric Cole.
